My studio is located in the historical district of Ybor City, Tampa. For those of you who may not be familiar with Tampa, Ybor is the "barrio latino" which is also a national historical landmark. The old structures on 7th avenue have been converted into a multitude of restaurants, shops, and clubs. There is a cultural awakening going on, with art galleries, artists, and many events taking place through out the year.
My art in the coming months will also take inspiration from the old quarter. I am doing photographic studies which will be eventually incorporated into paintings that will focus on the urban vibe of Ybor.
The studio is located in a house built in 1908. It has high ceilings typical of the homes built back then, and in time I will be hosting gallery openings there. At the moment I am still in the process of renovating it, but there will be a gallery space in it. Visits will be by appointment only.
